Creck Sporting came from behind to claim our 9th victory of the season, mercilessly defeating Ekhaya FC 4-2 at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.

The win served as sweet revenge after a narrow 1-0 defeat at Ekhaya’s home ground, Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.

The visitors took the lead in the 24th minute through Blessings Malinda following a defensive miscommunication. Creck Sporting responded well, with Patrick Mupanzi equalizing in the 38th minute before halftime.

Mupanzi continued his fine form in the second half, scoring his second goal in the 72nd minute and completing a stunning hat-trick with a scissor kick in the 78th minute. Kesten Simbi added a fourth for Creck after capitalizing on pressure inside the box.

Ekhaya pulled one back following a defensive error from Talandira Chigaula, but Creck held on to secure a 4-2 win.

Near the end, Hassan Hussein came close to making it five, but his effort was blocked, while Frank Phiri’s long-range attempt hit the side netting.
Patrick Mupanzi’s brilliant performance earned him the Player of the Match accolade.

With this victory, Creck Sporting remains in 11th position with 36 points from 28 games.

The team will regroup and focus on the next challenge, traveling to Dedza next Wednesday to face Goshen City Dedza Dynamos.
