Creck Sporting return to Aubrey Dimba Stadium this Wednesday afternoon after playing four consecutive league games away from home, as we host Karonga United in a crucial midweek fixture.
Head Coach Eliya Kananji is eager for a measure of revenge, but his primary focus remains clear, securing maximum points as the league resumes after the international break.
This will be the second meeting between the two sides this season. In the first-round encounter, Creck Sporting suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat, following a questionable 84th-minute penalty awarded to Karonga United by referee Edison Chagala.
Despite that setback, Kananji stresses the importance of focusing on results.
“Our target remains collecting the points despite whatever happened. We are not in a good position on the standings; therefore, we must fight for this one and register a victory,” he said.
Creck Sporting come into this match with 2 points out of a possible 6 from their recent league games against Mzuzu City Hammers and Songwe Border United in the north.
The coach also highlighted the work done during the break.
“We have spent several days working on our shortfalls, especially converting scoring opportunities. It’s time to prove what we have been practicing in training and make it count,” added the gaffer.
With full force and the support of the home crowd, Creck Sporting are geared up for a must-win encounter at Aubrey Dimba Stadium.
