Creck Sporting will go into their league fixture this thursday afternoon in Karonga, facing Songwe Border United.

This marks our 23rd league clash and second meeting with Songwe this year a match that presents a golden opportunity to wrap up our Karonga trip in the TNM Super League campaign on a high note and bring three points home from the North.

In the first-round meeting at Aubrey Dimba Stadium, Hardy Ng’andu and Hassan Hussein were on target as Creck Sporting secured a solid win over Songwe Border United.

Following a 1-1 draw against Mzuzu City Hammers last Saturday, Head Coach Eliya Kananji determined to end the Northern Region trip specifically in Karonga with a victory to boost the team’s position on the log.

Kananji expressed satisfaction with some aspects of the team’s performance in Mzuzu, particularly the transition play, though he acknowledged the need to be more clinical in the final third after several missed chances.

“I watched their tempo against Moyale. They’re a good side, only that they’re not in good shape. We can’t underrate them we’ll go full force in search of victory,” said Kananji.

With Songwe Border still battling in the relegation zone and two defeats away from officially dropping out, Creck Sporting are aiming to capitalize on their struggles and finish strong.

The team has already settled in Karonga ahead of Thursday’s clash, with no injuries recorded all players have been declared fit and ready for action.
