
Creck Sporting closed the 2025 TNM Super League season on a high note with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Mafco FC.
Ramadan Ntafu scored his second league goal with a flying header from a beautiful cross by George Chaomba his first touch after coming on as a substitute for the injured Patrick Mupanzi.
The match saw Mafco’s Steve Mkweza was shown a red card following a serious tackle on Mupanzi.
Despite Mafco’s physical approach aimed at disrupting Creck’s rhythm, the team’s aggression rose after taking the lead.
During the second half, coach Kananji made tactical changes, introducing Peter Godfrey, Kondwani Chilembwe, and Hassan Hussen.
Hassan replaced defender Talandira Chigaula to push three strikers forward, while Godfrey’s playmaking presence helped Creck create several chances through Chaomba, Hussen, and Beza, though the scoreline remained unchanged.
At the final whistle, Creck Sporting secured all three points, finishing 8th in the league standings, two spots higher than last year.
With 42 points from 30 games, the team has officially earned a spot in next year’s Airtel Top 8 competition, where they will face Mighty Wanderers.
The journey that began on 5th April 2025 has come to an end, marking a successful season and a solid foundation for the team’s preparations for next year.
