Patrick Macheso’s decisive strike in the 17th minute sealed a crucial 1–0 victory for Creck Sporting over Dedza Dynamos at Dedza Stadium, earning Creck Sporting maximum points and a significant rise in the league standings.

The goal marked Macheso’s first league goal since joining Creck this season. George Chaomba delivered a well-weighted pass into the box, and with confidence and composure, Macheso unleashed a thunderous finish past the Dedza goalkeeper to prove his clinical edge.

Macheso was later forced off due to a thigh injury, with Frank Phiri introduced to maintain attacking momentum alongside Akuzike Lifa. The partnership sparked increased pressure, as Creck Sporting registered several attacks and goal-scoring opportunities before halftime.

Head Coach Eliya Kananji later brought on Hassan Hussein for Nasiyaya Harvey in a tactical change aimed at stretching the home defense. Hussein came close on two occasions but was unfortunate to see both efforts sail over the crossbar.

Further substitutions followed as Hadji Wali, Ramadan Ntafu, and Jackson Beza entered the fray, with Dedza also mounting dangerous late attacks.

Between the posts, Emmance Nyirenda stood tall, producing an outstanding performance by denying the home side on eight occasions to preserve the narrow lead. His heroics earned him the Player of the Match award and marked his seventh clean sheet of the league campaign.

The victory sees Creck Sporting climb from 11th to 8th position, moving three places up the table with 39 points from 29 matches.

Attention now turns to the final assignment of the season, as Creck Sporting host Mafco FC at Aubrey Dimba Stadium on Saturday, December 27, 2025, in what promises to be a decisive end to the league campaign.
