Edson Chirwa Chagala has done it again awarding the home side a dubious penalty in the 84th minute that denied Creck Sporting a deserved victory on Saturday afternoon at Mzuzu Stadium.

Creck Sporting dominated proceedings for most of the game, creating several clear-cut chances, especially in the second half.

The opener came through Frank Phiri, who converted from the spot after Kondwani Chilembwe was brought down inside the box a move Phiri himself had brilliantly engineered.

Creck continued to press for more. Hassan Hussein and Kondwani Chilembwe were both denied by the woodwork, while another effort from Chilembwe was deflected for a corner.

At the back, Miracle Gabeya, Talandira Chigaula, Jauma Edward, and Nahipa stood firm, keeping the hosts at bay for long spells.

However, referee Edson Chirwa Chagala awarded Mzuzu City Hammers a questionable penalty late in the game, citing a foul, incident reminiscent of his controversial decision during our Karonga fixture. The hosts converted to level the score.

With the draw, Creck Sporting remain in 10th position on the TNM Super League table with 26 points from 22 matches.

Focus now shifts to our next assignment on Thursday, as we travel to Karonga Stadium to face relegation-bound Songwe Border United.
