
Babangida Ishaya Confident of Creck’s Return to Winning Ways After International Break
Creck’s Babangida Ishaya remains optimistic that the team will bounce back to its winning form in the TNM Super League following the ongoing international break.
The Nigerian professionalstressed the importance of teamwork among players and technical staff, highlighting the recent performances as evidence of potential despite mixed results.
Since the resumption of the TNM Super League second round, Creck has recorded four consecutive draws. The team played out a goalless draw at home against Civo, followed by another stalemate in Balaka against Mighty Wanderers. We came from behind to share points with Blue Eagles and most recently were held to another goalless draw by Chitipa United.
Despite missing several matches due to injury, Ishaya is confident in the team’s resurgence post-break.
“I think the belief is there that we can do it. It’s never easy, of course, but hard work, focusing on the details, and getting back to our best will definitely give us something in return,” he said.
Back From Injury, Ready for Action ⤵️
Speaking on his recovery and fitness level, Ishaya confirmed he has resumed light training and is steadily regaining full fitness.
“I’ve been working hard to get back to my best and back into the selection list. I’m still pushing, but I’m fully back and I believe I’ll be considered for upcoming matches.”
Eyes on FDH Bank Cup Semi-Final 🏆
Ishaya is also confident that Creck can make history by reaching the semi-finals of the FDH Bank Cup for the first time ever. The team is set to face Mighty Wanderers in a crucial clash on October 19th,next week.
“If we want to achieve the things we dream of, we have to start by believing. Reaching the FDH Bank Cup semi-finals will give us the energy and motivation to improve in the league as well.”
With Ishaya returning to fitness and a renewed sense of belief in the squad, Creck fans will be hoping the team can turn around their season and make a strong finish both in the league and cup competition.
