In a tightly contested TNM Super League clash,we played out a goalless draw on Sunday afternoon against Chitipa United, with neither side able to break the deadlock despite several promising moments.

The match, saw Creck’s FC dominate large portions of the game, especially after Chitipa United were reduced to 10 men.

However, Creck’s failed to take advantage of the extra man, showing inconsistency and a lack of cutting edge in the final third as the game wore on.

A standout moment came late in the second half during the added time when Hassan Hussein found himself in a prime position to score, only for his goal-bound effort to be deflected by the resilient Chitipa defense, resulting in a corner.

Creck’s opportunities created were none converted and translated into goals past Chitipa’s goalie.

Chitipa United showed admirable composure and tactical discipline despite the numerical disadvantage. As the game neared its conclusion, they even mounted a few counter-attacking threats, testing Creck’s defense and keeping the contest alive.

Referee Alfred Chilinda eventually brought the match to an end with the scoreline still locked at 0-0. The result sees both teams walk away with a point, though Creck’s FC may feel it was a missed opportunity to climb further up the table.

Head Coach Eliya Kananji expressed dissatisfaction with the performance, pointing to a lack of fighting spirit and winning mentality, especially given the home advantage and numerical superiority.

We didn’t show enough desire to win. The fighting spirit was missing, and that’s something we must correct going forward,”Kananji said

While we walk away with just a point, it’s still something to build on, Clean sheets and maximum points matter fighting to the end matters and our hunger for three points remains stronger than ever.

We regroup and match the positives as we shift our focus to the next assignment. The journey continues, and the belief remains strong.
