Creck Sporting will host Mighty Wanderers this Sunday in a TNM Super League showdown at Champions Stadium in Mponela.

This will mark our third meeting with the Blantyre-based side since earning our promotion to the elite league last season.

In our first encounter, we suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat away at Kamuzu Stadium, before settling for a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture at our home ground, Aubrey Dimba Stadium.

Misheck Bottoman, who later joined us on a two-year deal as a free agent, scored for the Nomads two minutes before halftime.

Frank Phiri equalized for us from the penalty spot in the 65th minute to ensure a share of the points.

Mighty Wanderers head into this fixture on the back of a convincing 2-0 win over Mafco on Thursday afternoon, thanks to goals from Promise Kamwendo and Clement Nyondo. They currently sit second on the table with nine points from four matches.

We, on the other hand, secured our first league victory a week ago, 1-0 win over Mighty Tigers at this venue courtesy of a 28th-minute strike from Babangida Ishaya.

With four points from four games, Creck Sporting are currently 15th on the log.

Sunday’s clash is a must-win for Joseph Kamwendo’s boys as we aim to climb out of the relegation zone.

Kamwendo, formerly Mighty Wanderers captain is hopeful for a victory come Sunday.
