Creck Sporting suffered a 2–0 defeat away to Moyale Barracks at Mzuzu Stadium on Sunday, with the hosts scoring one goal in each half to secure maximum points.
Creck Sporting struggled to settle into the game and failed to dictate the tempo, as Moyale approached the contest with high physical intensity. Creck were unable to cope with the pressure and eventually conceded twice, leaving themselves with too much to do.
In the second half, head coach Kananji introduced Patrick Mupanzi, Patrick Macheso and Harvey Nasiyaya in a bid to revive the attack.
The substitutions brought renewed energy and attacking intent, with Creck pushing forward and playing deeper in search of a breakthrough, but their efforts failed to yield a goal.
Later on, Hadji Wali and Arnold Son Kiyama were also thrown into the fray to bolster the attacking force. Despite sustained pressure and commitment, Creck Sporting could not find a way past the Moyale defence.
The defeat marks Creck Sporting’s second consecutive loss against army teams, following last Sunday’s 1–0 defeat to Kamuzu Barracks.
As a result, Creck Sporting remain in 11th position on the standings with 33 points, with three matches remaining to conclude the season.
The team will regroup on Monday before shifting focus to the next assignment, a home fixture against Ekhaya FC on Wednesday at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
