Creck Sporting are up north for a double league assignment, starting with Mzuzu City Hammers this Saturday before proceeding to Karonga to face relegation-bound Songwe Border United next Thursday.

Head Coach Eliya Kananji remains optimistic ahead of the trip, expressing satisfaction with the team’s preparations following the spirited performance against Silver Strikers Tuesday last week.

“The two games up north are crucial, and we need to fight for all six points,” said Kananji.

“The team has never won a game in the Northern Region this is the moment to make history again, just as we did in Blantyre.

Creck Sporting registered victories against both opponents earlier this season.

We defeated Songwe Border United 2-0 at home, with goals from Hardy Ng’andu and Hassan Hussein, while Kondwani Chilembwe secured a 1-0 win over Mzuzu City Hammers in the first round.

Saturday’s fixture is a must-win for Creck, who currently sit 10th on the table with 25 points from 21 games.

Mzuzu City Hammers, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back after a 1-0 loss to Kamuzu Barracks on Wednesday.

On the team news front, goalkeeper Brighton Munthali, Jackson Beza, and Patrick Macheso return to the squad after missing the last match.

Goalkeeper Andrew Bisika also earns a place in the traveling squad for the second time this season.
Creck will be hoping to record their first-ever victory in the Northern Region under Coach Kananji. In our last northern trip earlier this year, we collected just one point a draw against Chitipa United before losing narrowly to Karonga United.

As the team prepares for these decisive fixtures, eyes will be on collecting six points and turn determination into history.
