Following their qualification into the next round of the CRFA TVM Division One League, Creck Sporting Reserve is set to begin its journey towards promotion as they take on Lobi Young Soccer this Sunday afternoon.

This will be Creck Sporting Reserve’s first league match of the season at Lilongwe Community ground, marking the beginning of a competitive league phase.

Matches will be played in a home-and-away format, with three (3) teams from the CRFA TVM Division One League earning automatic promotion to the Premier Division. The teams finishing in fourth and fifth will face off in promotion play-offs.

Head Coach Lazarous Chirwa has expressed confidence in his side ahead of their league debut at home emphasizing the importance of a strong start.

“Winning at home against Lobi on Sunday will help the team stay positive and adapt quickly before we begin playing away games,” said Chirwa.

Creck Reserve booked their place in the last eight after finishing 4th in Group B, collecting 19 points from 11 matches. The team’s top scorer, Nicolus Jackson, netted four goals in seven appearances. However, he has been absent from this week’s preparations due to personal reasons.

Despite Jackson’s absence, Chirwa remains optimistic, noting that the rest of the squad has been fully involved in training sessions.

With promotion in sight and a solid performance in the group stages behind them, all eyes will be on Creck Reserve to see if they can make a strong statement in their league opener.
