Despite a determined performance at Chitipa Stadium, the Creck’s managed to collect a valuable point in a highly contested encounter against Chitipa United on Sunday afternoon.

Head coach Eliya Kananji made three changes to the starting XI. Kondwani Chilembwe and Misheck Bottoman led the attacking front, while Bayo Fatayo took charge of the midfield engine room.

In the first half, both Patrick Mupanzi and Chilembwe came close to opening the scoring, but their efforts were either saved by the goalkeeper,narrowly off target.

At the back, the defensive line of Hardy Ng’andu, Talandira Chigaula, Dalitso Nahipa, and Jauma Edward showed strong discipline and coordination, keeping goalkeeper Emmance Nyirenda well-protected throughout.

Miracle Gabeya was introduced in the second half to replace Jauma Edward and made an immediate impact, notably intercepting a dangerous Chitipa set-piece.Further substitutions saw George Chaomba, Hassan Hussein, Stain Patrick, and Frank Phiri enter the field in search of a breakthrough.

Chaomba’s effort went inches wide, while Hussein’s pace troubled Chitipa’s backline, though they remained resilient.

Controversy surrounded the officiating, as centre referee Tobias Chitani struggled to control the game, frustrating players and fans on both sides.With the result, Creck Sporting moves up to 7th position on the log with 18 points from 14 games.
