Wednesday afternoon marks a highly anticipated fixture at Aubrey Dimba Stadium as CRECK SC prepare to welcome Silver Strikers in a crucial TNM Super League clash.

This will be our twelfth league fixture of the season and the first encounter against the Central Bankers in the current campaign.

Confidence is high in the CRECK SC camp, especially coming off a morale-boosting 1-0 victory over Moyale Barracks just three days ago, courtesy of midfielder Frank Phiri’s decisive goal.

This win marked our fourth triumph of the season and highlights our determination to climb the league standings.

We currently sit at 8th position in the league with 14 points from 11 games, while Silver Strikers are positioned at 6th with 15 points from 8 games.

This puts them just one point ahead of us in terms of points per game, making Wednesday’s match a pivotal opportunity to close the gap on a formidable opponent.

Silver Strikers are also entering this match on the back of a victory, having secured a 3-1 win over Karonga United in their last league outing.

Reflecting on past encounters, last season saw us share the spoils, with one point from a possible six in our two meetings. We suffered a 2-0 defeat at their home ground, but notably held them to a thrilling 2-2 stalemate at Aubrey Dimba Stadium.

In that particular match, Muhammad Sulumba scored a brace for us, matched by Uchizi Vunga’s two goals for the visitors. We aim to leverage our home advantage once again and improve on that record.

Injury Update: We are pleased to announce that Gift Kadawati has fully recovered from his injury and is now training with the main team, making him available for selection.

However, Nigerian midfielder Peter Godfrey is still in recovery and will not feature in this match.
