Preview: Creck Face Blue Eagles in Bonanza Campaign Opener

Creck Sporting’s participation in the Central Region 8 Elite Teams Bonanza gets underway this Friday with a quarterfinal clash against Blue Eagles at Aubrey Dimba Stadium.


Head Coach Eliya Kananji believes the bonanza will play a crucial role in sharpening squad depth and improving coordination between new and existing players.


Kick-off is set for 12:30 PM.


The knockout tournament begins at the quarterfinal stage, divided into two groups (A & B).


Creck Sporting is in Group A alongside Blue Eagles, Kamuzu Barracks, and Civil Service United, with all matches in this group taking place at Aubrey Dimba Stadium. The second Group A fixture between Kamuzu Barracks and Civil Service United will kick off at 3:00 PM.


Group B features Goshen City, Dedza Dynamos, Mafco, Mitundu Baptist, and Silver Strikers, with matches scheduled at Dedza Stadium.


Tournament Format & Pathway:


The winner between Creck Sporting and Blue Eagles will advance to the semifinals, while the losing sides from the quarterfinals will play a consolation match the following day. Semifinals from both groups will be held at Champion Stadium in Mponela on Sunday, offering the local community a chance to experience the excitement.


The final is set for Monday at Dedza Stadium.


Creck Sporting heads into the tournament aiming to improve on last week’s performances in friendly matches against Masters FC and Extreme, as the new league season approaches.
