Creck Sporting supporters have elected Frank William as the new Chairperson of the Supporters Committee.

The elections were conducted at Lilongwe Community Ground in a fair and transparent manner, with voting done through a secret ballot to ensure credibility.

The process was led by Creck Sporting Welfare Manager and Executive Member, Miss Tionge Chisi, alongside monitors appointed by the contesting members.

Frank William emerged victorious after defeating Kelvin Kaunda with 38 votes against 29.

In other positions, Hassan Mickson went unopposed as Vice Chairperson, while Chifundo Banda secured the Treasurer position. Madalitso Chilembwe was elected unopposed as Vice Treasurer.

Speaking to the media after his election, Chairperson Frank William acknowledged the gap that has existed between supporters and the team, emphasizing the need for improved coordination and engagement.

“We need to be creative and step up in building a strong supporter base. I will develop and implement supporters’ zone committees, which were previously left out due to leadership gaps. We must be at the forefront in helping the team grow in terms of followership. We also have strong ideas, including business initiatives,” he said.

He further urged all supporters to work hand in hand with the new committee to help the club achieve its vision and success this season.
