Creck Sporting Reserve suffered a 2–0 defeat to Mponela Fc, ending our journey in the inaugural National Bank Championship after conceding quick goals in each half.

The home side opened the scoring just two minutes after kick-off. A similar situation occurred at the start of the second half when poor communication in Creck’s defense allowed Mponela to score their second goal moments after the restart.

Despite the setback, Creck Sporting Reserve responded with an aggressive approach and gradually built momentum, creating a number of scoring opportunities toward the end of the match.

Emmanuel Mitole came close to pulling one back for Creck but failed to convert two golden chances, with Mponela defenders clearing both efforts off the line to deny the visitors a chance to level the score.

Reserve team coach Lazarous Chirwa made several tactical adjustments, introducing fresh legs into the game. Horace Chuzu and Prince Banda were brought on to replace the injured pair of Lackson Wahita and Kaukau Innocent.

However, despite the changes, the reserve side could not overturn the deficit in regulation time, confirming the exit from the competition.

After the match, Chirwa accepted the defeat, pointing to missed chances and a lack of attacking efficiency inside the box as key factors behind the result.
