Creck Sporting head coach Elia Kananji says Sunday’s clash against Kamuzu Barracks will be a tough encounter, highlighting the opponent’s physical style of play.
Speaking during a Saturday morning press conference with our media team, Kananji said he has seen a number of positives from the squad but expects a demanding match.
“They are a very hard-working team with a clear identity both on and off the ball. But our approach will be different because we want to score more goals and collect maximum points.”
Kananji stressed that the team has fully shifted its focus to this fixture, putting behind last weekend’s historic victory over FCB Nyasa Big Bullets.
“We have already talked about this throughout the week. It’s one game at a time. The mission remains to push forward and climb the standings. I’ve emphasized that we cannot relax, we must keep moving on the log table,”he said.
The coach added that Kamuzu Barracks’ physicality is something his team must prepare for if they are to dominate possession and secure a result.
“We know playing away there is not easy; many teams struggle. But we must go with our own strength and show that we can do it. They are really physical, and we have to be ready for that. I’m looking forward to it.”
He also noted that Kamuzu Barracks will be looking to bounce back after losing 1–0 to Silver Strikers on Thursday, making the encounter even more competitive.
Kick-off is at 14:30.
