After a disappointing loss to Civil Service United two days ago, Creck Sporting Club’s coach, Eliya Kananji, is banking on a strong comeback this Saturday we face Moyale Barracks at Aubrey Dimba Stadium in Mchinji.
This will be a crucial home fixture for us following three consecutive away league matches.Kananji has openly addressed the team’s recent inconsistent performances, citing a lack of individual brilliance and confidence among the players in their last two games.
“We’ve focused heavily on attacking and finishing. We’ve lacked depth in scoring, often engaging in passing and supporting play without taking enough shots or truly testing our opponents. That’s how deeply we’ve worked at least to win and make a comeback in this match.” Said Kananji.
The coach lamented the absence of a decisive offensive threat, even during periods of dominant play, particularly before halftime.Kananji is confident that the team will leverage home-ground advantage to secure maximum points, especially with Moyale Barracks coming off a 3-0 defeat against FCB Nyasa Big Bullets in Blantyre.
“These are the games we need to win on our home turf,Given the league’s momentum, it’s vital we secure a clear victory here before we play them away.”
We have endured a tough June, losing two consecutive away games. However, history offers some hope as last season, we secured a 3-2 home victory against Moyale Barracks, with George Chaomba netting a brace and Babangida also on target.
The reverse fixture in Mzuzu ended in a stalemate.
