Two goals from the first half were enough for Creck Sporting to step up into second victory in the elite league over Songwe Boarder united.

Captain Hardy Ng’andu scored the opener in the 18th minute from a well taken corner by Stain Patrick, a free header past Songwe Boarder goalkeeper Bernard Mwangosi.

Just two minutes away from half time, Creck’s attacking department piled up pressure on the visitors, Hassan Hussein couldnt resist from scoring after a sharp pass set by George Chaomba,with a scissors kick to make it 2 nil.

Interim head coach Harry Saidi prompted for fresh legs in attacking, Harvey Nasiyaya, Kondwani Chilembwe, Frank Phiri, Misheck Bottoman and Emmance Nyirenda on goals as well.

With the outstanding performance from our skipper Hardy Ng’andu, he was again voted player of the match for showing brilliance and tactical discipline at the back.

The coordination between Miracle Gabeya, Jauma Edward and Hardy proven to be spearheaded and discipline at the back, leading to a third cleansheet for Goalkeeper Brighton Munthali.

Kondwani Chilembwe and Hassan Hussein had an opportunity twice to extend the lead in the second half, only for their shots to hit the crossbar.

Coach Harry Saidi reflected the victory at Aubrey Dimba Stadium as a milestone;

“It was really tough, they came to collect maximum points though they’re on the bottom of the table, but for us we wanted it badly considering the position we were, so I am happy to collect the three points, I am happy we’ve won”.

What it means; Creck’s have now moved three steps up from position 14 to 11 on the standings. The team has now collected eight(8) points from the 7 games played so far.

Our focus turns to another crucial away fixture, as we will be heading to Chitowe stadium in Dwangwa to face Salima based Outfit, Mafco FC this coming Sunday, 1st June.
